Who We Are

Built in Africa.
For Africa.
Without apology.

We are a software engineering firm founded on a simple observation: most of the software African institutions depend on was built for markets that operate nothing like ours. We're here to change that — starting with the systems that matter most.

Our Story

The problem we couldn't stop
thinking about.

The founding team at Tech Warrior spent years inside the system — working on projects for county governments, hospitals, and logistics companies across Kenya. What we kept seeing was the same thing, in different forms: organisations running critical operations on software that was never designed for them.

A hospital using a UK-built HMS that didn't know what NHIF was. A county government trying to fit its procurement process into a template built for European municipal procurement. A transport company using a US trucking app that had never heard of a matatu.

Every time, the organisation would end up with a collection of workarounds layered over workarounds — more fragile and more expensive than if someone had just built the right thing from the start.

Tech Warrior was founded to be that company. Not a consultancy that flies in from London. Not a dev shop that treats Kenyan clients as an afterthought. A firm based in Nairobi, working with organisations across the country, with its entire business model oriented around building systems that fit the actual environment they'll operate in.

What We Stand For

Five values we actually
make decisions by.

Not aspirational posters. These are the things that come up in real conversations when we're deciding whether to take on a project, how to price something, or whether a technical shortcut is worth it.

01

Precision over polish

A beautiful product that crashes under load is worthless. We ship things that work before we ship things that look good — though we aim hard for both. When we have to choose, reliability wins.

02

Context is everything

We don't lift-and-shift foreign solutions onto African problems. Every product we build starts with time spent understanding the actual workflow — the context that makes it different from what works somewhere else.

03

Ownership, full stop

Clients own their code, their data, and their infrastructure. Our business model is built on being good enough that they come back — not on making it painful to leave. We write clean handover documentation as standard.

04

Junior talent, senior standards

Africa has more engineering talent per square kilometre than most people realise. We train it, pay it fairly, and hold it to international standards. We don't offshore to cheaper markets — we invest in the market we're serving.

05

Boring infrastructure is a feature

We're not here to win design awards for their own sake. We're here to make the county government's procurement system so reliable that no one ever has to think about it again. That's the goal — invisible, dependable infrastructure.

Transparency as a business strategy

We show demo products clearly labelled as demos. We give honest assessments of project complexity. We tell you when something you want will cost more than you expect. Trust is the only durable competitive advantage we have.

The Team

The people building
Tech Warrior.

Small by design. Two people, every project — no account managers, no hand-offs, no bench.

On Being a Startup

We're new. Here's why
that's actually an advantage.

No legacy clients to protect

We make decisions based on what's right for your project — not on what keeps a 10-year client relationship intact or preserves a tech choice we made in 2015.

Your project gets senior attention

We're at the stage where every client relationship matters. You won't be handed to a junior team while the partners chase the next deal — we're all in on making your project succeed.

Modern stack, no technical debt

We're not carrying ten years of architectural decisions made under different constraints. Everything we build is designed for today's tools and tomorrow's scale requirements.

We're building a long-term firm

Tech Warrior isn't a stepping stone to something else. This is the company we're building. We're not here to build a portfolio and sell to a foreign acquirer — we're here to be the firm that African organisations call first.

Work With Us

Let's build something
that lasts.

We take on a limited number of projects at a time so we can give each one the attention it deserves. If you're working on something that matters, let's talk.
